SimAddy Career File Information

With SimAddy 3.4.1, you can modify the career file used in SimAddy to change the title of careers and jobs, salaries, hours worked, friends needed for each level, and even add whole new careers.

Copy this file into the Data folder in the SimAddy installation directory (C:\Program Files\Leakybagel\SimAddy\Data).

Each career section contains the title surrounded by brackets (e.g [Athletic]) followed by a series of Key=Value pairs. The Key names must be spelled correctly. The first one is Enum, and is a unique number for the career, used in the saved files. You can't change this Enum if you've already used it for one of your saved sims. The next key is Skills. This is a sum of the 3 skills needed for the career. I've assigned each skill a number:

COOKING = 1
MECHANICAL = 2
CHARISMA = 4
BODY = 8
LOGIC = 16
CREATIVITY = 32
CLEANING = 64

For example, the Athletic career requires Body, Mechanical, and Charisma, so 8 + 2 + 4 = 14. Politics requires Charisma, Logic, and Creativity, so 4 + 16 + 32 = 52. This is used in SimAddy's Find Career dialog, which helps you find careers for the skills you may already have. You cannot add new skills to SimAddy.

The next key-Value pairs describe the 13 job levels for this career. The first 10 (L0-L9) are the adult levels, and the next 3 (L10-L12) are the teen/elder levels. The Values contain several pieces of information separated by a comma. The format is:

Job Title, Friends needed to be promoted, Salary, Hours worked.

For the hours, you must add a 'p' for PM and 'a' for AM for each number, separated by a dash (-). e.g. 11a-5p
